We were honored to host a special guest at Avalos on Wednesday, February 25th! Ms. Melissa N. Gonzalez, President of Lone Star College–Kingwood, visited our Cybersecurity Capstone students to personally welcome them into the LSC family. President Gonzalez didn’t arrive empty-handed—she surprised the entire class with free LSC T-shirts, ensuring our students can show off their college pride.
Beyond the gifts, the visit served as a powerful reminder of the strong partnership between Avalos and Lone Star College. During her talk, President Gonzalez:
- Reaffirmed LSC’s commitment to supporting all dual credit students.
- Emphasized that our students are viewed as full, valued members of the LSC community.
- Encouraged the cohort as they tackle their final capstone projects.
